Who Is Jayman?
The mystery masked man roams the streets of Mid City looking for vengeance. But who is he?
On a dark, rainy night in New Orleans, a shaded figure loomed in the distance. Was it a gargoyle, a bird, or a blue jay? The city was in chaos and uproar until this mysterious figure appeared and began aiding the citizens of Jesuit High School. This masked Blue Jay knew that no one could uncover his true identity. This night hawk spread city-wide spirit with their sports and academic accomplishments.
As a child, Jayman recalled seeing his distant relative, Batman. He once witnessed his favorite animal, a blue jay, being killed by the infamous Holy Cross Tiger. When he saw this frightening and infuriating scene, he vowed to protect all the Blue Jay students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the most legendary Blue Jay in Jesuit history, Jayson. The man behind the mask was rumored to spend his nights patrolling his territory of Carrollton and Banks, defending the school from the despicable tiger and its crew. By day, he helped everyone in the Jesuit community, each act more mysterious than the last. When he took a break, he would retreat to the vast Jaycave beneath Jesuit High School.
On one fateful day, Jayman spotted a few eighth-grade students who were late for school, so he decided to give them a ride to help them get there faster. Realizing the awesomeness of Jayman, they asked, "Who are you?" He simply replied, "I am vengeance."
For 102 years, Jayman had been fighting against the tyrannical tigers of Paris Avenue, led by their notorious leader, Bane. Jayman was visibly distraught after their loss to Bane last year, but this year, he came back stronger, prepared, and accompanied by The Gizzard. This year, the rivalry game would bring vengeance, served with a side of Blue Jay pride.
