PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD: ADVENT ARRIVES AT JESUIT
Elizabeth Rizzo reflects on how we should honor Mary, the mother of God, as we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. The Blue Jay community will gather in the newly renovated Chapel of the North American Martyrs on Monday, December 9th for our patronal feast day. This solemnity celebrates the Catholic doctrine that Mary, from the first moment of her conception, was preserved free from original sin. Mary’s "yes" at the Annunciation is the model for all of us at Advent. Her profound faith and readiness to welcome Christ into her life is the example we should all strive for during Advent.
