GOBLINS TOPPLE G-TOWN FOR INAUGURAL INTRAMURAL MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT
What started all the way back in March with the Selection Show held in the Student Commons has finally finished with the Goblins, an all-star senior team, claiming the top spot in the inaugural Intramural March Madness tournament. The 64-team tournament, the brainchild of Coach Derrick Martin, featured teams from all grades levels competing against each other over the course of the past month to settle who really had the best intramural basketball team. Upsets were a common occurrence in the opening rounds, with many 8th grade teams toppling their senior competition. However, the Goblins, lead by Harry Traigle, were too much for the all junior team, G-Town, as they won the championship by a score of 10-8.

MR. FITZPATRICK ‘09 PUBLISHES TWO WORKS IN ONE MONTH
While there is no official “poet laureate” of Jesuit High School, one would be hard pressed to find a better candidate than English teacher, Mr. Danny Fitzpatrick ‘09. Publishing two book this month, one a collection of poetry entitled Yonder in the Sun and the other a non-fiction reflection on the Sabbath entitled Restoring the Lord’s Day, Mr. Fitzpatrick is establishing himself as a rising star in the world of literature. Mr. Fitzpatrick has also been working this year as a New Orleans Museum of Art fellow, a position in which he has been working to promote poetry in the New Orleans area. Of course, Mr. Fitzpatrick is accomplishing all of this while still being an excellent English teacher. Congratulations to Mr. Fitzpatrick on his many accomplishments.
