The Jesuit Swim Team won its 41st consecutive District Championship. The Jays have dominated the district this year, and they are one of the most dominant teams in Jesuit’s history.
The team is relatively young, with only one Senior, Jack Primeaux, swimming in the pool. Primeaux started his illustrious swimming career in Middle School at Stuart Hall and has continued his success into high school. He has been a fantastic swimmer for the Jays over the years, playing a crucial role in the team’s past success and State Championships.
This season, Primeaux has taken on a leadership role and has set a great example for the rest of the team.
Primeaux won his individual event, the 100-yard backstroke, but three other Jays also won their individual events. Junior Enzo Solitario won the 200-yard Individual Medley, Sophomore Ben Breithaupt won the 100-yard breaststroke, and Sophomore Grant Castillon won the 500-yard freestyle.
The team also showed great teamwork in the relay events with 1st place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (Jack Primeaux, Enzo Solitario, Luke Balhoff, and Grant Castillon), the 400-yard freestyle (Aidan Villars, Jack Primeaux, Enzo Solitario, and Luke Balhoff), and the 200-yard Medley relay (Grant Castillon, Ben Breithaupt, Aidan Villars, and Bryan Santos).
The swim team has built a winning culture, and with many of the swimmers returning next season, the team is in good hands. Best of luck to the Swim Team!
