Waiver Wire Targets Week 9
QB: Aaron Rodgers. Been passing the ball downfield more recently, more yards are more points. Use this to your advantage. The steelers will probably be trailing the Colts so they will be passing the ball more than usual.
RB: Tyrone Tracy Jr and Kareem Hunt. Tracy is now the starter on the Giants and is a receiving back and if you are in a PPR league you should definitely consider picking him up. Kareem Hunt is a on a Chiefs offense that doesn’t run the ball a lot but if the passing game doesn’t work out against the Bills they will definitely lean on him for the run game.
WR: Chimere Dike and Troy Franklin. Franklin is pretty obvious but if he is still available then pick him up on a heavy passing game offense. Dike is on a struggling team who is usually trailing. Most of the time when someone is trailing they are going to pass the ball a lot. Dike has seen his targets and involvement go up in this offense recently being targeted 8 times and catching the ball 7 times with 93 yards. Tons of upside this week against a struggling Raiders team.
TE: Orande Gadsden and Noah Fant. Gadsden is on a heavy passing game offense with Justin Herbert, who is so far having a great season. He has everything he needs to have a successful year this season. He is a mandatory pickup. Fant is also on a heavy passing game offense with a new QB (Flacco) who has targeted him 3 or 4 times each game for lots of yards. If you are in a ppr league, this could be very beneficial for you if you have a TE on a bye week.
Defense: Rams Defense. The Rams are playing against a 1-7 Saints offense who almost let Tampa Bay score 2 touchdowns on them. This is a no brainer, definitely pick this defense up.
Kicker: Ka ‘imi Fairbairn. He is on a team who can drive down the field but can pull the trigger when it comes to scoring a touchdown. Huge upside against a tough Broncos defense this week.
Question of the Week
Will the Bills Vs. Chiefs give me tons of fantasy points?
The answer to this question is yes. Every single Chiefs vs Bills game that I can remember has been a close high scoring game that could go either way. If you have Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Rashee Rice, Khalil Shakir, or James Cook, they are all must starts this week.
Chill or Thrill
Chill or Thrill mainly concerns players who have been underperforming and if fantasy owners should be concerned about them.
Brian Thomas Jr: I am a little concerned about why he isn’t putting up big numbers on a thriving Jaguars team. I suspect that he has been injured before the regular season and hasn’t said anything. With that being said if he continues to play like, he could be perfect trade bait. I would recommend holding onto him a little longer to make sure he doesn’t have a good game against the Raiders this week. Keep watch of his Injury reports as time goes on.
Treyvon Henderson: Henderson is a tricky case. I picked him up and I saw potential in him. Now I know I don’t know everything that is going on in Patriot training camp, but I can confidently say that Henderson is a much better running back than Stevenson. Stevenson leads the NFL in fumbles currently. The crazy thing is that Henderson averages more yards per carry than Stevenson. I don’t understand why Vrabal won’t start Henderson when he is extremely explosive, and the Patriots are a team that lacks explosiveness in their offense. On a positive note, Henderson did lead the team in rushing yards last week (70). This could be a wakeup call for Vrabel to give him more playing time and possibly the starting job.
Nico Collins: I am not worried about Nico Collins. Yes, he has been injured so that definitely affects how he plays but once that issue is fixed, you should expect to see a rise in point total for you in these weeks to come.
