Welcome to a short and sweet edition of Grubbin’ with Grant. I’m calling these smaller reviews “Crumbs.” Y’all gotta let me know what you think about it.
My family decided to go to a classic favorite pizza spot for the first time—Tower of Pizza. While we were sitting inside the retro, homey, throwback-style dining room, I spotted fellow senior Jay Joe Campo, so shoutout to Joe.
We ordered the Tower Special, which came loaded with sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. We also got the artichoke salad, which was simple but really good. The dressing was delicious and made for a great light intro to the meal.
The pizza itself was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a good slice. The crust was especially good—crispy, fresh, and clearly baked in-house. Overall, I liked it, but it probably won’t be my new first choice.
That said, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t been before. Even getting takeout is a cool experience.
Tower of Pizza is officially GRUBBIN’ APPROVED.
